English Club

Hello, dear friends!

I hope we will enjoy our theatricals this year!

Let's play and act together!

Let's have a good time in our School English club!

Happy New Year!!!

he Lyrics of the Song "Let It Snow":

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we’ve no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn’t show signs of stopping
And I’ve bought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally say goodnight
How I’ll hate going out in the storm
But if you’ll really hold me tight
All the way home I’ll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we’re still goodbying
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn’t show signs of stopping
And I’ve bought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

JINGLE BELLS

(Refrain:)

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!

O What fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh,

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!

O What fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh.

Dashing through the snow,

in a one-horse open sleigh

Over the fields we go,

Laughing all the way.

Bells on bobtail ring,

Making spirits bright

What fun it is to ride and sing

A sleighing song tonight!

(Refrain)

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Had a very shiny nose,

And if you ever saw it,

You would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer

Used to laugh and call him names;

They never let poor Rudolph

Join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,

Santa came to say,

Rudolph with your nose so bright,

Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?

Then how the reindeer loved him

As they shouted out with glee,

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,

You’ll go down in history!

Episode 6 The lesson with Professor Sprout in Herbology (Mandrake or mandragora):

17/01/23
St Valentine's Day Poems:
1.   Boys are clever.
Girls are smart.
I love you
With all my heart.
***
2.   Boys are noisy.
 Girls are, too.
You like me,
 And I like you.
 ***
3.   Mama loves coffee.
 Papa loves tea.
I love my friend,
And my friend loves me!
***
4.   The birds won't sing,
The stars won't shine,
 If you won't be
My valentine.
***
5.   It's Valentine's Day. And in the street
There's freezing rain, and slush, and sleet.
The wind is fierce. The skies are grey.
 I don't think I'll go out today.

But here inside the weather's warm.
There is no trace of wind or storm.
And you just made the morning shine.
You said you'd be my Valentine.

6.   My teacher's very special,
So I'm making her a heart.
A Valentine that's sure to be
A proper work of art.
I've worked on it all morning,
So it should be ready soon.
I'd like to slip it on her desk
 Before this afternoon.
It's colored in with crayons,
And it's trimmed with paper lace
It has flowers hearts, and Cupids.
I can't wait to see her face.
7.   To each and every friend of mine
I’ll send a lovely valentine.
Mommy, daddy and brother (sister), too.
Will receive a heart that says,
«I love you!»

8.   I made 5 valentines today.
I’m gonna give them all away.
The one I made for Mom is pink.
The one for Dad is blue.
My sister gets a yellow one,
With lace and ribbons, too.
The one I made for you is red.
You’re my best friend, you know.
I even made one for my dog
Because I love him so!

It's Easter Time

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6qm0PnM-pg&feature=player_embedded

Сценарий праздника «Happy Easter»

Ведущий: Good afternoon, dear friends. We are glad to see you here. Today we are going to tell you about a wonderful spring holiday. Let's listen about Easter traditions and symbols.
P1. Every country has its traditions. In England traditions play a very important part in the life of the people. Easter comes on a Sunday between March and April. Just before Easter the schools and colleges usually close. The students have a week or ten days of spring vacation.  Easter marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
P2. At Easter people buy new clothes to wear on Easter Sunday. There is a popular belief that wearing three new things on Easter will bring good luck in the year. After church services many people like to take walks down the streets in their new Easter hats and suits. This colorful procession of people dressed in bring new spring clothes is called the Easter Parade.
P3. Another custom is decorating eggs for children. In many parts of the country, eggs are hidden in the yards and the children have to find them. Little children believe the Easter rabbit comes and leaves the eggs for them. That’s why Easter candy is made in the form of eggs, little chickens and rabbits. Eggs are the symbols of new life. An old English custom is to roll hardboiled eggs down a hill. The last egg to break brings good luck to the one who has rolled it.
Ведущий: - Now let’s listen to the history about Easter traditions and symbols.
P4. The cross. Christ was crucified on a cross, so has come to have a special meaning to Christians. It represents Christ’s victory over death. It is a significant Easter symbol.
P5. The Lamb. Jesus was known as the Lamb of God. At one time, the Jews sacrificed a lamb during a Passover festival, and early Christians adopted this as a sigh of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Lamb is now a traditional Easter meal, and cookies and cakes are often made in the shape of a lamb for Easter.
P6. The eggs. Of course, eggs represent new life. Long ago, some people believed that the earth was hatched from a gigantic egg! Eggs have been exchanged for centuries. Ancient Egyptians dyed eggs and gave them to friends as gifts. In England, friends wrote messages on colored eggs. Now people color eggs  in many parts of the world . It is believed that eggs are often left by the Easter bunny for children to find on Easter morning much to their delight!
P7, P8. Easter Rabbits. In America and around the world, many children believe that Easter bunny brings Easter eggs and hides them to find on Easter morning. Where did this tradition begin? There are many different legends, but here is a popular one.
Long ago in Germany there lived an old, loving woman who adored children. Each year she would give children gifts to celebrate spring. One year she had nothing to give because she had grown very poor due to a great famine in the land. All she had were some eggs. She did not want to disappoint the children, so quickly before they arrived for the gifts, she colored the eggs and hid them in the grass. When the children arrived, she told them to run out into the lawn to find their gifts hiding there. Of course, the children ran out into the yard in search of their surprise. Just as one of the children uncovered the eggs, a large rabbit hopped away. So the children thought that the rabbit had left the eggs for them! And ever since have searched for the eggs left by the Easter rabbit on Easter morning.
Ведущий: Alex wants to tell you about this day in Russia.

Let’s listen to some poems and songs.

Bunnies
Bunnies are brown, Bunnies are white
Bunnies are always an Easter delight
Bunnies have ears all pinkish inside
Bunnies all like to hop and to hide.
Bunnies are cuddly, the large and small,
But I like the chocolate ones best of all.
Hot cross buns
Hot cross buns
Hot cross buns
One a penny
Two a penny
Hot cross buns
If you have no daughters
Give them to your sons.
One a penny
Two a penny
Hot cross buns.
Humpty – Dumpty
Humpty – Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty – Dumpty had a great fall
All the king’s horses
And all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty – Dumpty together again.
Rabbits
A family of rabbits lived under a tree
( close hand and hide under tree which is other arm)
A father and mother and babies three
( hold up thumb, then one finger, then the rest.)
Sometimes the bunnies would sleep all day.
(close right hand.)
But when night time came, they liked to play.
( hold up three fingers.)

Easter Bells
Easter Bells in churches ring,
People in the churches sing.
Ring – a – ling-a, Ring – a – ling-a, Ring: Sing – a – ling-a, Sing – a – ling-a, Sing.
Easter Bunnies
The air is like a butterfly
With frail blue wings,
The happy earth at the sky
And sing, sing, sing.
At Easter Time
The little flowers came through the ground. At Easter Time, at Easter Time:
The pure white lily raised its cup. At Easter Time, at Easter Time.
They raised their heads and looked around. At Easter Time, at Easter Time.
The crocus to the sky looked up. At Easter Time, at Easter Time.
ВедущийThank you very much. Let’s play some games.

1.If you love me, love me true.

Send me a ribbon, a ribbon of green.
He gives the “valentine” to the girl and she gives him the hand with a blue ribbon. On her other hand there is a green ribbon. In her turn the girl recites the poem devoted to the boy.
2. February the 14th day
It’s Valentine, they say
I choose you from among the rest
The reason is I love you best!
The girl gives the “valentine” to the boy.
  Ведущий – 1:
February the 14th  is St. Valentine’s Day. There are many different stories about the origin of St. Valentine’s Day. We know that Valentine was a priest in Rome a long time ago. One of the early symbols of love is Cupid, the Roman God of love, who is represented as a young boy with a bow and arrow (лук истрела).
Звучит музыка, появляется священник. Он идет медленно. В это время на сцену выходит ангелвлюбленных: «Valentine was a Christian priest in the Roman Empire 300 years after death of Jesus Christ».Ведущий – 1:  My sweetheart, look! I can’t believe it. Is it St. Valentine himself?Ведущий – 2: You’re welcome, patron of lovers.ангел влюбленных: «This is a legend of how St. Valentine’s Day began. When the Roman Emperor Claudius II needed soldiers, he made a law against marrying because he felt that marriage made men want to stay at home instead of fighting at wars. But at that time there was a kind priest, named Valentine. He couldn’t agree with the emperor’s decision. When he saw that young couples were truly in love, he married them secretly».

Please, help us! Marry us, we love each other very much.
СвященникMy children! I’ve come from the distant past to remind you of kindness and love, friendship and patience in your wicked world. Я помогу вам — обвенчаю вас тайнокак венчал и других влюбленных. I see you love each other and may your dreams come true! My daughter! My son! I declare you husband and wife!Звучит марш Мельденсона.   Врывается стража.
Стражник: Priest, you have been discovered and condemned to death! To prison! To the Tower
Here is bread and water for you, poor man.
Священник: Thank you, but who are you?
Дочь тюремщика: I am a prisoner`s daughter.
Священник: What has happened to you
Дочь тюремщика: I am blind! I never saw the light, trees! (Рыдает).
Священник: Poor you are.  I’ll help her by working miracle. Come to me
I’m so grateful to you. Even in prison you, Valentine, showed your love for everyone and restored my sight!
Священник: Unfortunately, tomorrow on February 14 I will have to die. But I’m not scared and I want to tell everybody on earth, “I love you. I’m your Valentine”.Ангел влюбленных: Just before his death, on February 14, he sent her a message signed “Be happy. Your Valentine”.
Дочь тюремщика Вот так погиб Валентин. Однако что же он мне написал? (Читает вслух) «Будь счастлива. Твой Валентин». (Прижимает письмо к груди) Спасибо.
Дочь тюремщикаI can’t believe my eyes. He died. But how shall I live without him? It’s impossible. I must die with him.
Ведущий 1. Two hundred years later, the church made February 14 a special day to remember Saint Valentine. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers.

The heart is still a symbol of love, and it is also a symbol of Valentine’s Day.
Музыкальная пауза. Love Story
На сцене появляется маг
I am a fortune-teller. I can foretell your future. Put your hand into the box, take any symbol you like and I'll tell you what it means.
LOVE KNOT – A love knot is a series of winding and interlacing loops with no beginning and no end. It is a symbol of endless love. So you will open your heart to somebody you love
A ribbon – Ribbons go back to the days when ladies gave ribbons to their favourite knights when they went to war. So you want to be connected with somebody
A lace – Lace comes from a Latin word, it means “to catch”. Lace was supposed to catch the heart of a loved one. So you want to catch somebody`s heart
A glove Years ago, when a man proposed marriage to a woman, he “asked for her hand”. The hand became a symbol of marriage and love. So somebody will ask your hand soon.
A red rose. Red is a color that stands for strong feelings. This is why the red rose is a flower of love. So you are loved and will be loved forever
RINGS In some countries, men and women exchange rings when they get married. Valentine’s Day is a popular day for presenting a ring. A ring usually has a stone or a jewel set in it. A ring is a symbol of love.
DOVES are also symbols of Valentine’s Day.

Guy Fawkes
Thomas Bates
Robert Keyes
Watson/Stranger
Soldier 1
Soldier 2
Commander
Narrator
SCENE ONE
King James, dressed in royal clothes, talks to the audience from a wooden stage.
King James:
Remember, remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason, why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, guy, t’was his intent
To blow up king and parliament.
Three score barrels were laid below
To prove old England’s overthrow.
By God’s mercy he was catch’d
With a darkened lantern and burning match.
So, holler boys, holler boys, Let the bells ring.
Holler boys, holler boys, God save the king.
And what shall we do with him?
Everyone: BURN HIM!
King James: On this night, you will see what happened many years ago. WHO was the bad man?
Guy Fawkes enters in a black cloak and black hat. King James points at Guy Fawkes.
King James: Guy Fawkes!
The Narrator stands off to the side and speaks to the audience.
Narrator: In the year 1605, there was a Catholic man who was very angry at King James. His name was Guy Fawkes.
Guy Fawkes walks to the centre and looks at the audience.
Guy Fawkes: I AM GUY FAWKES. I want to……………… KILL the king!
Guy Fawkes turns and looks at Thomas Bates, Robert Keyes and Watson entering the stage.
Guy Fawkes: FRIENDS! My close friends! Please! JOIN me and let’s kill the KING.
Thomas Bates: WHY do you want to kill the KING?
Robert Keyes: Has he done something BAD?
Guy Fawkes: King James isn’t nice to Catholics. He tells US what to BELIEVE.
Thomas Bates: That’s HORRIBLE!
Robert Keyes: It is! We must DO something. WHAT are you planning?
Narrator: King James wanted all Catholics in England to become Protestant. As a result, Guy Fawkes wanted to kill King James and put a Catholic king on the throne.
Guy Fawkes: I will destroy the government building with a lot of bombs.
Thomas Bates: I HAVE A WHEELBARROW! YOU CAN BORROW IT!
Thomas Bates runs off stage.
Robert Keyes: What would you like US to do?
Narrator: Guy Fawkes told his friends his plan. Robert and Thomas liked the plan but Watson didn’t.
Watson: Are you SURE this is a good idea?
Guy Fawkes: It is.
Watson: I don’t know.
Thomas Bates returns with a wheelbarrow or cart.
Thomas Bates: HERE’S my wheelbarrow.
Guy Fawkes: FANTASTIC! Come here and I will tell you what to do!
Thomas Bates and Robert Keyes huddle with Guy Fawkes. Watson doesn’t join.
Guy Fawkes: We need to put the gunpowder under Parliament.
Robert Keyes: And when do we light the gunpowder?
Guy Fawkes: When the King is in the building!
Thomas Bates: What an EVIL plan!
Guy Fawkes, Thomas Bates and Robert Keyes put the gunpowder into the wheelbarrow. They take the wheelbarrow off stage. Watson watches and leaves in the opposite direction.
SCENE TWO
Soldier 1 and Soldier 2 enter.
Soldier 1: I wish it was the weekend. I’m very tired.
Soldier 2: I have to work on Saturday AND Sunday. I don’t want to do this.
Soldier 1 pats Soldier 2 on the back.
Soldier 1: It’s okay. After work, you can visit my house for dinner.
Soldier 2 points at a shadowy object that just entered. It is a person wrapped in a black cloak.
Soldier 2: WHAT IS THAT!?
Soldier 1 squints.
Soldier 1: I DON’T KNOW!
Soldier 2 raises his sword.
Soldier 2: STOP in the name of the KING!
Watson enters disguised in dark clothing and walks to the soldiers and holds out a letter.
Watson: I have a special message for the king. PLEASE take it to him.
Soldier 1: WHY should I?
Watson: Because it is a PLOT to KILL the KING!
Soldier 2: Are you SURE?
Watson: YES!
Soldier 1: If you’re lying, we’ll FIND you and you’ll be punished.
Watson: I’m NOT lying!
Stranger leaves.
Narrator: The soldiers didn’t know if the mysterious stranger was telling the truth. But they did take the message to their Commander.
Commander enters.
The soldiers take the letter to Commander who opens it, reads it and holds it above his head.
Commander: WHAT is THIS? WHO wrote this letter?
Soldier 2: It’s a PLAN to kill the king.
Commander: That CANNOT happen. Look EVERYWHERE for these people! Tell me when you find them. They WILL be PUNISHED!
Soldiers: Yes, SIR!
The soldiers leave.
SCENE THREE
Guy Fawkes, Thomas Bates and Robert Keyes enter pushing the wheelbarrow. They place the explosives under King James’s table.
Guy Fawkes: Now LEAVE while there’s TIME. I’ll light the bomb soon.
Thomas Bates: I wish Watson was here to see this historic moment.
Robert Keyes: But he’s not. Good LUCK, Guy.
Robert Keyes and Thomas Bates exit.
Guy Fawkes walks up and down and looks at his watch. He picks up a torch and is about to light the gunpowder when Soldier 1 and the commander enter. The commander holds his hand out.
Commander: STOP in the name of the KING!
Guy Fawkes: NOOOOOOOOO!
Soldier 1 takes away the torch and puts it back.
Commander: You are UNDER ARREST for TREASON. You and your friends will be punished.
Soldier 2 enters with Thomas Bates and Robert Keyes both handcuffed. Watson also enters and is still disguised.
Guy Fawkes: I don’t understand. HOW did you KNOW?
Watson removes his disguise.
Watson: It was ME! I told them.
Guy Fawkes: But WHY, Watson? I trusted you.
Lights darken. Everyone exits.
Narrator: Guy Fawkes and his friends were then punished for their crimes and sentenced to death.
Narrator exits. Lights go up. King James remain sin the  centre stage.
King James: This was the story of Guy Fawkes. Every year, on the Fifth of November, the people of England celebrate and remember this occasion by burning pictures and dolls of Guy Fawkes in bonfires, as well as set off fireworks and enjoy good food.

Little Robber Girl: Don't touch her! She will be mine! She will play with me! Give me your muff and your hat! What's your name?
Gerda: I'm Gerda. You can take my clothes but I'll be cold when I get to the Snow Queen.
Little Girl Robber: No! You won't go there! You will live with me! Look what I've got! Come, come here quickly!
(The Reindeer appears)
Little Girl Robber: Gerda, look how funny he is!
Gerda: May I ask him a question?
Little Robber Girl: Yes, you may.
Gerda: Tell me, deer! Did you live in the North?
Reindeer: Oh, yes!
Gerda: Have you ever seen the Snow Queen?
Reindeer: Yes, I have. Once she passed me! She had a little boy with her! He was white with cold. She called him Kay.
Gerda:  He is my brother. Dear girl! Let me go! I must save Kay! He will die in the North.
Reindeer: Do let her go! I'll take Gerda to the Snow Queen's Kingdom.
Little Girl Robber: All right! There is nothing to be done. I won't give you your muff! I like it. Kiss me.
Gerda: Thank you, girl!
Reindeer: Thank you!
Little Robber Girl: Good luck, Gerda!
Gerda: Goodbye! Goodbye!

Scene 4
(The storyteller is sitting on the pillows in front of the fireplace.)
Story-teller: Oh, how sad I am! Poor Gerda! She is riding on the Reindeer. Help her to save Kay!
Gerda: Is this the kingdom of the Snow Queen?
Reindeer: Yes, it is. I can't go farther. You must remember, the Snow Queen is very cruel and it is very difficult to get into her palace!
Gerda: I must go there! Thank you, my dear friend!
(In the palace: Kay is on the icy throne.)
Gerda: Kay, Kay! Are you frozen? Answer me!
Kay: Hush, Gerda! You are bothering me!
Gerda: Dear Kay! It's me, Gerda! You didn't even say to me: "Glad to see you!"
Kay: Glad to see you.
Gerda: You sound so cold. Are you really my brother?
Kay: I am really Kay. I am very busy. I must make the word out of icicles.
Gerda: Kay, let's go home. It's spring there. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, the birds are singing.
(She weeps and embraces Kay.)
Kay: I am cold, Gerda. Is it you? What's the matter? I can walk!
Gerda: Let's go! We will get home.

16.03.17 R. Kipling "How the Camel Got His Hump"

(Watch the children performing on the stage)

01.03.17 Here is the text  (слова к сказке)
HOW THE CAMEL GOT HIS HUMP
Once upon a time, when the world was new and the Animals were just beginning to work for the Man, there was a Camel, and he lived in the middle of a Desert because he did not want to work. He ate sticks and thorns and prickles and nothing more. He was very lazy and idle; and when anybody spoke to him he said "Humph!" Just "Humph!" and no more.
First the Horse came to him on Monday morning with a saddle on his back, and said, "Camel, О Camel, come out and carry the Man on your back like the rest of us."
"Humph!" said the Camel; and the Horse went away and told the Man.
Then the Dog came to him with a stick in his mouth and said, "Camel, О Camel, come and fetch and carry like the rest of us."
"Humph!" said the Camel; and the Dog went away and told the Man.
Soon the Ox came to him, with the yoke on his neck, and said, "Camel, O Camel, come and plough like the rest of us."
"Humph!" said the Camel; and the Ox went away and told the Man.
At the end of the day the Man called the Horse and the Dog and the Ox together, and said, "I am very sorry for you; but the Camel in the Desert won't work. He has not come here by now, so I am going to leave him alone, and you must work double time to make up for it."
The Horse, the Dog, and the Ox were very angry; and they held a meeting on the edge of the desert; and the Camel came by most lazy and idle, and laughed at them. Then he said "Humph!" and went away again.
Soon there came along the Djinn in Charge of All Deserts. He came in a cloud of dust (Djinns always travel that way because it is Magic). He stopped to talk with the Horse, the Dog and the Ox.
"Djinn in Charge of All Deserts," said the Horse, "is it right for any one to be idle, when the world is so new and there is so much work to do?"
"Of course not," said the Djinn.
"Well," said the Horse, "there's an animal in the middle of your Desert, with a long neck and long legs, and he hasn't done any work since Monday morning. He doesn't want to carry anybody on his back."
"Whew!" said the Djinn, whistling, "That's my Camel! What does he say about it?"
"He says 'Humph!'" said the Dog; "and he won't fetch and carry."
"Does he say anything else?"
"Only 'Humph; and he won't plough," said the Ox.
"Very good," said the Djinn. "I will humph him if you wait a minute."
The Djinn flew across the Desert and found the Camel. He was most idle, and he was looking at his own reflection in a pool of water.
"My dear friend," said the Djinn, "why don't you work, when the world is so new and there is so much work to do?"
"Humph!" said the Camel.
The Djinn sat down, and began to think of a Great Magic, while the Camel looked idly at his own reflection in the pool of water.
"You've given the Horse, the Dog and the Ox extra work since Monday morning, because you were idle," said the Djinn.
"Humph!" said the Camel.
"I wouldn't say that again if I were you," said the Djinn; "you say it too often. Now, listen to me, Camel. You must work."
And the Camel said "Humph!" again. And when he said it he looked at his back, and he saw a great big humph.
"Do you see that?" said the Djinn. "That's your own humph. You have got it because you did not work. Today is Thursday, and you've done no work since Monday when the work began. Now you are going to work."
"How can I," said the Camel, "with this humph on my back?"
"You missed three days," said the Djinn. "You will be able to work now for three days without eating, because you can live on your humph. Come out of the Desert and join the other animals and behave."
And the Camel came out of the Desert and went away to join the Horse, the Dog and the Ox. And from that day to this the Camel always wears a humph (we call it "hump" now); but he has never yet caught up with the three days that he missed at the beginning of the world, and he has never yet learned how to behave.

* * *
The Camel's hump is an ugly lump
Which well you may see at the Zoo;
But uglier yet is the hump we get
From having too little to do.
Kiddies and grown-ups too-oo-oo,
If we haven't enough to do-oo-oo,
We get the hump—
Cameelious hump—
The hump that is black and blue!

15.02.17 Mother's Day songs

Poems for mothers:
Mother's Day Poetry For Children
When Mother Says
When mother says, "Do this," or "that,"
Don't say, "What for?" and "Why?"
But let her hear your gentle voice
Say, "Mother dear, I'll try."
 By Charles J. Barnes .
Who Loves Us?by Paul Curtis
Who loves us without condition?
Who loves us in their admonition?
Who loves us despite the dirt?
Who do we go to when we’re hurt?
Who shares in all our joys?
Who buys us the best toys?
Who keeps us warm and fed?
Who would prefer a puppy instead?
Who cheers us up when we’re glum?
Who else but your mum

MOTHER DEAR

Mother Dear
With God's help
You brought me here.
Mother Dear
With God's love
You kiss every tear.
Mother Dear
With God's teachings
I'll allways hold you near.
Mother Dear.

DADDY'S WISH

Daddy said this day to me,
"I've a wish above all other
I hope that you will grow to be
Exactly like your mother!"
I'll try to start this very day
To grow like her in every way.
Share and Share Alike
by Patrick Winstanley
You are a mother
Like no other,
Loving and sharing
Kind and caring,
But tell me why, if
You're
my mother,
I have to share you
With my brother.
Mother Angel
Author: Unknown
Take an angel from the sky
And send her down this way.
Then send some little boys and girls
To keep her company.
Then fill her heart
With Mother love,
Give her a smile of cheer.
And you'll have a kind of Mother
Just like my Mother, dear.
Mother's Day
Author: Unknown
The kindest face I'll ever see,
The kindest voice I'll ever hear.
The one who cares the most for me
Is my own mother dear.
All through the year
I'll try to do
The things that show
My love for you.
And not be happy just to say,
"I love you, Mother," on Mother's Day.
Mother
Author: Unknown
You can see it in their eyes,
in tender hugs and long good-byes,
a love that only moms and daughters know.
You can see it in their smiles,
through passing years and changing styles,
a friendship that continually seems to grow.
You can see it in their lives,
the joy each one of them derives,
in just knowing that the other one is there...
To care and to understand,
lend an ear or hold a hand,
and to celebrate the memories they share.
Once upon a memory
Someone wiped away a tear
Held me close and loved me,
Thank you, Mother dear.

My Mother's Not Only A Mother
Author: Unknown
My mother's not only a mother
But she is a chum as well;
Oh she can think of the finest games
And stories that really are swell!
I'd rather, much rather just be with her,
As a chum she truly is fine;
O she's the very best kind of pal,
The dear little mother of mine!
My Special Mom - By Connie Amarel
You make me Smile when I am sad.
Your kiss makes Pain just disappear.
Your twinkling Eyes show you're so glad
That I'm your Child each time I'm near.

1.   Boys are clever.
Girls are smart.
I love you
With all my heart.
***
2.   Boys are noisy.
 Girls are, too.
You like me,
 And I like you.
 ***
3.   Mama loves coffee.
 Papa loves tea.
I love my friend,
And my friend loves me!
***
4.   The birds won't sing,
The stars won't shine,
 If you won't be
My valentine.
***
5.   It's Valentine's Day. And in the street
There's freezing rain, and slush, and sleet.
The wind is fierce. The skies are grey.
 I don't think I'll go out today.

But here inside the weather's warm.
There is no trace of wind or storm.
And you just made the morning shine.
You said you'd be my Valentine.

6.   My teacher's very special,
So I'm making her a heart.
A Valentine that's sure to be
A proper work of art.
I've worked on it all morning,
So it should be ready soon.
I'd like to slip it on her desk
 Before this afternoon.
It's colored in with crayons,
And it's trimmed with paper lace
It has flowers hearts, and Cupids.
I can't wait to see her face.
7.   To each and every friend of mine
I’ll send a lovely valentine.
Mommy, daddy and brother (sister), too.
Will receive a heart that says,
«I love you!»

8.   I made 5 valentines today.
I’m gonna give them all away.
The one I made for Mom is pink.
The one for Dad is blue.
My sister gets a yellow one,
With lace and ribbons, too.
The one I made for you is red.
You’re my best friend, you know.
I even made one for my dog
Because I love him so!
